If you have missed a dose, take it as soon as you remember it and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Stopping the medication suddenly without talking to your doctor may increase the seizure frequency. Be careful if you are using birth control pills as this medicine may interfere with the working of contraceptives.
Some common side effects of this medicine includes nausea, vomiting, double vision, headache and skin rashes. It may cause dizziness and sleepiness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. This medicine may cause weight gain or weight loss as side effects may vary from person to person. To control weight gain, you should have a balanced diet and exercise regularly. Oleptal DT 450 Tablet may make you feel sleepy or dizzy, or may cause blurred vision, lack of muscle coordination, especially when starting treatment or increasing the dose. This may affect your driving ability.
Dose adjustment is not recommended in patients with mild to moderate liver disease.
