INTRODUCTION OF OSKAR TABLET
Oskar 20 mg Tablet is also used for treatment and prophylaxis of reflux oesophagitis, for eradication of Helicobacter pylori infection and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.This medicine works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach which helps to provide relief in acid related indigestion and heartburn. It is taken by mouth one hour before the meal, preferably in the morning. Take this medicine in dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Before taking this medicine it is better to inform doctor if you have any severe liver disease as dose of your medicine needs to be adjusted. It is better to not take this medicine along with an antacid, you may try to take it two hours before or after taking this medicine.
It is well tolerated and safe medicine with a very low incidence of any harmful effects. However, there can be side effects like headache, abdominal pain, flatulence, constipation and nausea or vomiting. This medicine may cause diarrhea, so it is better to take plenty of fluids while taking this medicine as it may help to prevent dehydration. However, it is better to consult doctor if you get watery diarrhea with fever or stomach pain that does not go away. Remember long term use of this medicine may lead to deficiency of vitamin B12 and magnesium. This medicine may cause an increased risk for osteoporosis related fractures of the hip, wrist or spine when used for a longer time. Thus, taking adequate supplements of calcium and magnesium can be helpful in such cases.

Oskar 20 mg Tablet may cause dizziness and visual disturbances. This may affect your driving ability.
A lower dose may be advised in patients with liver disease and who have to take this medicine for a long time.
